The
Govinda's Yummy Bar is a unique, new product in the marketplace
standing apart from any other bar in taste and composition of
ingredients. It is locally made in Cairns entirely by hand using the
highest quality, natural, raw materials without the use of any
preservatives.
Because the bar contains no gluten, added sugar, wheat,
preservatives, what to speak of artificial colours and flavours, it
provides for a truly healthy, guilt-free snacking experience. Suitable
for Vegans and most allergy sufferers it caters for a large audience of
people who have difficulties to find a 'safe' sweet that actually
tastes good.
The 'body' of the
Yummy Bar consists of premium quality dates, minced into a paste and
blended with spray-dried 'Nestle' coconut-milk-powder. Into this
mixture are carefully worked, crunchy chickpea-flour bubbles. These are
made on our premises from chickpea-flour batter drizzled into the
highest quality deep-frying oil available in Australia. We use 'Sunola'
sunflower oil which is extremely viscous, light, neutral in taste and
does not cling excessively to the bubbles. It is one of only a few
deep-frying oils approved by the 'Heart-foundation'.
To prevent stickiness and give it a classy, European appeal we cover
the top and bottom of the bar with custom-manufactured,
diamond-embossed rice paper imported from Holland.
The Yummy Bar gives instant energy from the natural fructose contained
in the dates and the chickpea is regarded as one of the best protein
sources available and recommended by Australia's Athletic Association.
Although the Yummy Bar fully satisfies the craving for a sweet,
fudge-like bar, it is surprisingly free from any added sugar. Our
